Canadian born artist Gisto made his first journey to the fatherland of reggae music, Jamaica in 2011. It was during that trip that Gisto would fully transition from an admirer of the music and culture, to a full fledged musical personality on Jamaican television. From there on, Gisto continued to develop his craft as a versatile recording artist, touring as a member of the Canadian jam band, Wasabi Collective. Gisto's efforts with the band lead to a feature on PBS's RoadTrip Nation while additionally winning a People’s Choice Award at the IMA's, a Recording of the Year honour from BCIMA and more. In 2010, Wasabi Collective also performed at the Whistler BC hosted Winter Olympics as well as shared stages with the likes of K'NAAN, k-os, Bedouin Soundclash and more. In 2018 Gisto travelled to Cape Coast, Ghana to collaborate on the creation of his 2019 album release "Self Made". During that same year, Gisto would contribute to winning an East Coast Music Award for featuring on Stylust’s track “Bump in the Road”. In 2020, Gisto released the 14 track studio album “Relief” which features songs with the likes of Capleton, Sizzla, Gyptian and Mr Fantastik.
