Born on a Naval base in Lemoore California, Devyn J Coles-Flowers aka D Flo obtained his love for music at a very young age. Devyn was raised in the North Bay in a small town called Fairfield, "a very lost town that I'm proud to be from. Some people don’t consider Fairfield to be apart of the bay, I say otherwise" quotes Devyn.

 

Devyn started skateboarding at the age of 5 and flourished in it, making it his life until he first picked up a pad and pen. When Devyn was about 8 years old he would write poetry, mostly stuff that rhymed and sounded cool to him. At 12, Devyn was diagnosed with epilepsy (grand maul seizures) and has been fighting with it ever since. Since writing music in his early teens, at the age of 18, Devyn recorded his first song at Magic City Studios on High St in Oakland.

 

Since continuing on with the creation of multiple demos and studio singles including a feature on Canadian underground emcee RZ Rhymeztein's track' Take a Step at a Time, Devyn has now been gearing up to release a string of new music under the Volunteer Media imprint.
